SGIM VA-Affiliate Members:
The 2015 meeting is in Toronto, ON CA, April 22-25, 2015.
1) ACEs registration is now open for the meeting for VA attendees. The closing date is December 1, 2014.
2) The additional wrinkle for this meeting is that because it is in Canada, you also have to apply simultaneously for a Government passport, which is a separate process from getting approval through ACES. The website suggests a minimum of 60 days to get the passport. Make sure you discuss the process with your Education/Travel office if you have never traveled on a government passport before.
Please note: If you are traveling on University, Non Profit Corporation or Personal funds, you do not have to request approval through the ACES system. The ACES system is only for trips funded with VA appropriated dollars.
Please visit the VA Task Force websitefor the most up to date information about VA travel to the 2015 SGIM Annual meeting.
