Attention GIM Fellowship Directors!

 

SGIM has launched its third year of the "Investing in GIM" membership program in its effort to engage the next generation of academic GIM professionals. This program offers one year of complimentary membership to first year GIM fellows. If you are a Fellowship Director (or first year fellow) and would like to learn more about this program, please contact Muna Futur, Member Services Assistant at futurm@sgim.org.The deadline to apply is December 31, 2014.

Interested in being paired with a mentor or mentee? SGIM is now accepting applications for the 2015 Annual Meeting One-on-one Mentoring Programand the Women and Medicine Task Force's Career Advising Program.

Each March, SGIM members travel to Capitol Hill to advocate on issues important to primary care.Everyone from medical students to experienced politicos meet with their representatives and participant in the democratic process--educating the legislature on issues that affect our daily practice.


"Being able to sit down in one of my senator's offices for a 30 minute exchange of ideas was very exciting. I have attended local events with that senator, but to be in her office on the Hill advocating for issues that affect my career was so exciting."
