Adults with Complex Conditions Originating in Childhood

Hello all!

It was great to see those of you who could make it to our interest group meeting at SGIM in Denver.  

The group discussed some upcoming opportunities that may be of interest the whole group, so I am posting here.

The first is the Developmental Medicine Fellowship that will be starting at Baylor in July of 2024.  They are recruiting interested family medicine, medicine, and med-peds residents to complete an additional year of training focused on caring for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as autism, cerebral palsy, and spina bifida.  Here the link to more information and details on how to apply if interested:  Developmental Medicine Fellowship | BCM

Also, there is a new journal called Health Care Transitions.  They put out a call for a special edition focused on the adult perspective in transition.  This is a new open-access journal, so will have fees in the long-term, but the fees are being waived for submissions made before 12/31/23.  If you'd like more information about the special edition, here is the link:  Call for papers - Health Care Transitions | ScienceDirect.com by Elsevier
