by Michael Schur

Discussion Facilitators

Manasa S. Ayyala, MD, Rutgers New Jersey Medical School
Rachel Levine, MD, MPH, Scott Wright, MD Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine

In this year’s book club, we will discuss How to be Perfect: The Correct Answer to Every Moral Question. In this book, the author (also the creator of television shows, The Good Place and co-creator of Parks and Recreation), explores moral philosophy through humorous & thought-provoking questions. Through these questions, we will consider together how we might apply philosophy to healthcare-related questions in our clinical, education, research, and leadership work and in the pursuit of this year’s meeting theme of meeting the promise of tomorrow.

The facilitators of this session have been members of many book clubs and have been leading a book club for GIM fellows for years. The session will be fun and we will all learn together. Happy reading!

Even if you don't finish (or read) the book, you will be able to participate.
