Bio

Donna Windish, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine. She completed her medical school degree at the University of Connecticut and attended the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital for Internal Medicine Residency training. She went on to do a fellowship in General Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and obtained her Master of Public Health degree at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. In 2005, Dr. Windish joined the Yale Primary Care core faculty. In 2007 she was appointed Associate Program Director for inpatient medicine. Dr. Windish attends on the medical wards with the primary care residents, practices as a primary care physician, and precepts residents in their weekly continuity practice. She oversees the Research in Residency program and the Consult Medicine curriculum for the Yale Primary Care residents at their community hospital site. Dr. Windish teaches medical students and residents biostatistics and how to read the medical literature and is an associate editor for the Evidence-Based Medicine journal.
