SGIM is pleased to announce its largest annual meeting ever! Officially we had 2010 people join us in San Diego, eclipsing our past record by 160 attendees.We hope you were able to join us for the meeting which was filled to the brim with workshops, abstracts, posters and symposiums on Building the Bridges of Generalism.

ACLGIM Launches

Inaugural LEAD Program

 

At this year's annual meeting ACLGIM launched its inaugural LEAD - Leadership Development Program. The program is designed for junior to mid-career faculty who wish to further develop their leadership skills. Training and coaching from leadership scholars and successful GIM leaders, independent reading/assignments with online discussions and regularly scheduled direct communication with an ACLGIM LEAD coach during the 12 months following the program start.

 

The cohort of 10 LEAD scholars met in San Diego, attended the Leon Hess Management Training and Leadership Institute on Wednesday and two of three core leadership development workshops during the SGIM annual meeting. If you know of an emerging leader that might benefit from this type of structured course the next call for application will be this fall.
