Special Symposium:The Population Health Impact of Racial Bias and Social Injustice

Video recordings of violent interactions between police and African-Americans have brought national attention to the use of police force and race-relations in the U.S. In an effort to heighten the awareness of the population health implications of racial bias and social injustice, a related symposium was held at the SGIM 2016 Annual meeting in Hollywood, FL.

 

Submitted in Conjunction with: SGIM Minorities in Medicine,Criminal Justice and Health, Physicians Against Violence, SocialResponsibility Interest Groups and the Disparities Task Force.
