Do you know of Practice Innovations happening at your institutions that would be worthy of national recognition and dissemination?

We are seeking letters of application for the SGIM Quality and Practice Innovation Award.  The award will recognize general internists and their organization that have successfully developed and implemented innovative role model systems of practice improvement in ambulatory and/or inpatient clinical practice.  We want to promote innovation and quality improvement in general medical and primary care practice design and management through recognition of role model practices.  Do you know someone or group that should be recognized?  Group practices, hospital departments, units, or divisions, medical schools or health centers which are principally primary care or general medical, AND who have one or more SGIM members in practice management leadership roles, are eligible to apply.

The award application process has been greatly streamlined this year and requires much abbreviated application materials.  Think about who you might encourage to apply!

See the call for applications and view some of the stories of past winners on the Clinical Practice Committee's website.

Deadline for application is January 14, 2013
