Hello, HIV Interest Group!
We hope you all got to enjoy time away this summer and are safe and well this fall. We wanted to share a few announcements in preparation for the 2022 SGIM Annual Meeting!
We have requested an interest group meeting and will be in touch when we hear about scheduling.
For those of you working on a clinical update or workshop, a reminder that those are due with round 1 submissions this Wednesday, September 22nd.
Applications for the Lawrence Linn Research Grant open October 8th and will be due December 31st. Applicants may include SGIM members (associates or full), students, degree candidates, fellows, or faculty members early in their research careers. The Lawrence Linn Fund is open to considering a wide range of projects whose results are likely to improve the lives and/or health care of people with HIV/AIDS. HIV prevention and PrEP projects are also considered. This is a great way to launch a small project or collect pilot data, and we hope you will consider submitting or encourage your mentees!

Round 2 submissions for abstracts, clinical vignettes, and innovations will open soon. Please let us know if we can help support a submission. For those looking for mentoring opportunities, clinical vignettes can be a great way to support trainees in academic work and introduce them to the SGIM community.
We look forward to seeing you, hopefully safely and in person, next Spring!
Best wishes to you all,
Tabor and Jess
