Hi all,
Thank you for a great LGBT interest group session during the Annual Meeting in Denver!
To recap:
- Meg McNamara and Carl Streed will be taking over leadership of this group and ensuring we get submitted for next year's meeting in DC
- We broke into Research-oriented and Education-oriented working groups to see if we can expand our collaboration to scholarly projects--Carl Streed was helping lead the research group and Jenny Siegel was helping lead the education group.
- Next year's meeting theme is "Courage to Lead: Equity, Advocacy, and Engagement in Turbulent times" so I think we will have a lot of opportunities to submit for next year. In full disclosure, I will be on the Program Committee next year so if you have any suggestions for special symposia or speaker please let me know ASAP!!!
I found our interest group very energizing and engaging! Thank you all so much for your participation and expertise.
