  • SGIM 2019 Submission Deadlines

    Hello all,

    We hope you've been having a great summer!

    This is a reminder about getting your submission together for SGIM Annual May 8-11 in Washington DC

    KEY DATES: https://connect.sgim.org/sgim19/home
    EARLY submission for Workshops, Updates, Interest Groups: August 30 through September 6
    STANDARD submission for Workshops, Updates, Interest Groups: September 7 through September 27
    deadline for Workshops, Updates, Interest Groups: September 27
    Acceptance of Workshops, Updates, Interest Groups: November 15

    We will work on getting the message out for ABSTRACT submissions
    EARLY deadline for Abstracts: November 16
     deadline for Abstracts: January 17
    Acceptance of Abstracts: March 5

    Our LGBTQ Interest Group is planning to submit the following:
    • UPDATE: LGBTQ health
    • WORKSHOP: working with LGBTQ advocacy organizations
    • WORKSHOP: Student-led LGBTQ advocacy 
    • WORKSHOP: Train the Trainer  
    • INTEREST GROUP: LGBTQ meeting


    We encourage you to consider submitting additional workshops, updates, and abstracts related to LGBTQ health. Remember, the theme of this meeting is "Courage to Lead: Equity, Advocacy, and Engagement in Turbulent times" 


    Here are our community documents to help folks develop projects and find collaborators (feel free to provide edits/additions):

    2) Google Document for SGIM Collaborations (we highly encourage faculty to consider using this to mentor students and trainees)
    3) Google Document for SGIM Workshops and Presentations (2019 theme: Courage to Lead: Equity, Advocacy, and Engagement in Turbulent times)


    These documents can be edited, so please feel free to provide salient updates and suggestions.
