I have received permission by the admins to post this to this forum.
We have preliminary approval for a faculty position in our Department of General Internal Medicine at the rank of Instructor/Assistant Professor at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. The position description and details will be released once the final budget has been finalized on September 1, 2015.
We envision the position to be 80% Clinical (4 full days in clinic), with 20% Administrative / Research / Education (1 day) time. Weekend call duties are approximately once every two months, with inpatient consult service between four and eight weeks a year. The primary duties will involve staffing the perioperative medicine program clinic and the suspicion of cancer diagnostic clinic (a few details at: http://goo.gl/oZ2cMM ). We have an expectation that the ideal candidate will assume a leadership position within of the two programs, depending on academic interest.
