All:
I have checked with Ms. Machalsky, the SGIM Community Manager and she has said that I may post job openings in the interest groups that I belong to, but not to the general forums. We are also submitting an official ad to SGIM.

As of June 1, 2016, we have three open positions.
The Section of Consultative Medicine academic positions are more traditional comprising of both outpatient and inpatient duties
We are seeking superior candidates that will have an appointment in the Section of Consultative Medicine and practicing consultative and diagnostic medicine. Primary duties will be staffing the Perioperative Medicine program and the Suspicion of Cancer Clinic, along with General Internal Medicine Consultation clinic and six to eight weeks on the Inpatient Consult Service per year. We have an expectation that the ideal candidate will assume a leadership position within one of the two programs as his/her career progresses. Another expectation is that the ideal candidate will take part in Quality Improvement activities within the department and institution. The position as currently envisioned is 80% clinical with four full days in clinic and one day for administrative and academic responsibilities.
The Department of General Internal Medicine resides within the Division of Internal Medicine. Within the Department, we have two sections: Section of Consultative Medicine (formerly Section of General Internal Medicine), and the Section of Hospital Medicine. We expect all faculty to contribute to research and education activities, and as such will let their interests guide those topics. The entire focus is care of the medical comorbidities of the cancer patient, and as such, “OncoMedicine”. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience, as determined by committee.
