Obesity Interest Group Meeting

When:  Apr 26, 2013 from 12:05 to 18:00 (PT)
Obesity is one of our nation's most important public health challenges. There is a growing interest and need to better understand and manage obesity in academic medicine. Many generalists are working on clinical and research projects to address this issue. For more than 7 years, we have created a setting for SGIM participants to network with colleagues who share an interest in obesity prevention and treatment. During the interest group, participants  report existing projects and/or proposals relating to obesity and overweight, exchange ideas and resources for program development and evaluation, explore creative approaches to increase the presence of obesity-themed work at SGIM, and  potentially collaborate on future projects. We welcome both new and returning members! The interest group has a listserve obesity@list.sgim.org; incoming members are welcome to join before the meeting.
