Addiction & Substance Use Sessions at SGIM 2026 – Plan to Arrive Early!

If you’re planning to attend SGIM this year and have an interest in addiction medicine or substance use care, take note:
many of the addiction- and substance-related (ATOD) sessions are scheduled early in the conference. ATOD interest group will meet Friday May 8
th
at 7am- 8am.
If these topics are important to you, consider booking flights that allow you to arrive in time for the early sessions. We’d love to see strong turnout and engagement from our GIM colleagues for this outstanding content.
Interested in getting involved?
The ATOD interest group is looking for 1–2 volunteers who could spend a couple of hours in April helping track and compile the SGIM ATOD presentations, as we’ve done in prior years. It’s a great way to stay closely connected to the scholarship in this space.
If you’re interested, please email Daniel Liauw, MD at
dliauw@mgb.org
.
Hope to see many of you there!
