Cross-Cultural Communication and Medical Care Interest Group

The Cross-Cultural Communication and Medical Care Interest Group is intended to serve as a clearinghouse, a space for inter-institutional collaboration, and a forum to promote collegiality for those doing work in a variety of areas. These include (but are not limited to) curriculum development, research, and evaluation in areas of cultural aspects of communication, working with interpreters, and related areas of the medical encounter. We invite all interested SGIM members to join our work and contribute to the improvement of educational interventions, services, and standards in Cross-Cultural/Culturally sensitive care.
