Hello fellow cancer researchers!
It was wonderful meeting everyone at SGIM in Denver. One of the comments heard more than once at our meeting, and reinforced by our guest scholar Dr. Taplin, was that we need to become more aware of each other's research, both to know about collaboration and funding opportunities, and to advocate for funding for the kinds of cancer research we are interested in from NCI and other organizations.
To that end - and with the support of our co-chairs Larissa and Craig - we will be sharing our research on this blog. How will this happen? I will be in touch with interest group members over the coming weeks and months and work with you to create short, blogpost-length summaries of your work, with links for futher information. Of course, anyone is welcome to publish on the blog as well on this or related topics.
I have tagged this first post as Public, but if the IG or people in particular would be more comfortable with a limited setting, e.g., SGIM members only, that would also be doable.
Stay tuned for further information and the first posts, I hope in the next 2 weeks or so. I look forward to hearing from all of you!
