Hello interest group members!
You are invited to complete a research study describing your clinical practice caring for adults with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities. The goal of this study is to describe primary care clinic models serving adults with IDD to support the development of best practices, dissemination of these clinic models, and promote their sustainability. This research is being conducted by the Adult Developmental Medicine Consortium, co-led by Dr. John Berens at Baylor College of Medicine.
Participation in this study is completely voluntary and there is no monetary compensation or direct benefits for participation. This study is survey-based on RedCap and the first question in the survey will confirm your consent to take part in this study. We ask that only one survey is completed describing your clinic, but we encourage you to consult your colleagues. Some questions ask about dedicated personnel time and general funding information for the clinic so it may be useful to have this information readily available to best complete the survey. We will ask for your name and email address, but only for the purposes of contacting you if more than one person responded to the survey about your clinic and there are discrepant answers.
Your survey answers will have no impact on clinical care, job performance, or academic standing. There is minimal risk to participating in this study that includes loss of privacy, but we will take every effort to keep your answers secure, and only de-identified information will be shared outside of Baylor’s investigator team. Survey completion is estimated to take about 15-20 minutes. This study has been approved by the Baylor College of Medicine Institutional Review Board. For any questions or concerns about the survey, please contact Dr. John Berens at john.berens@bcm.edu.
Thank you for your participation!
