I am an Internist in the Hospitalist Program in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. As an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University and associate faculty in the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality, my research goals are to improve quality of care and reduce healthcare-associated injury for patients at the intersection between hospitalization and community settings, particularly for those with chronic diseases. Prior to moving to Baltimore, I was in private practice providing primary and hospital-based care in rural Texas, Missouri and Illinois.
