Bio

​Dr. Ambert-Pompey received her medical doctorate at Ponce Health Sciences University. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University in neuro-oncology, and internal medicine training at the Boise Internal Medicine-University of Washington Residency Program. She is currently a general internist at the Boise VA with the VISN 20 Clinical Resource Hub TelePrimary Care working with rural and underserved Veterans in the northwest area.

As part of the Center of Education for Interprofessional Collaboration since 2015, Dr. Ambert-Pompey focuses on health professional trainee education in primary care and provision of care via telehealth modalities. Her interests are home/work balance, diversity and inclusion, leveraging technology and efficiency strategies while balancing a humanistic approach to shared-decision-making and team-based care. Dr. Ambert-Pompey was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico and has been happily living in Boise with her family since 2012.
