Dr. Merriam is an associate professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She received her MD degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and, in 2017, completed a fellowship in women’s health through the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System and a master's degree in Health Professions Education from the University of Pittsburgh ICRE, a program she now directs. She currently practices primary care/women’s health at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System and serves as senior consultant to Women’s Health Education for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Interests include physician leadership development, women's health education (particularly menopause), and the modified Delphi technique in medical education research.
