I am a primary care physician with expertise in treatment of opioid use disorder and care for formerly incarcerated individuals. I completed my clinical and research training at Einstein/Montefiore in the Bronx, and I continue to practice general internal medicine at a federally qualified health center in the South Bronx. I am the Co-Director for the Bronx Transitions Clinic, which provides a medical home to persons who were recently released from jail or prison. I am also the PI of two randomized controlled trials of buprenorphine treatment: one is testing treatment initiation at syringe services programs and the other is investigating low-dose buprenorphine induction for hospitalized patients with chronic pain and opioid use disorder. I also have interests in mentorship, physician advocacy, and health equity.
