Profile

I am currently an Associate Professor at the University of Virginia and am the Director of Inpatient Palliative Medicine.  My current interests include service development and leadership; medical education; and health disparities research.  My current research projects include development of communications training for medical students using simulation-based mastery and palliative care for sickle cell disease patients.
