Bio

I am a native of St. Louis, Missouri, and I returned home (July 1, 2015) to accept a position at Saint Louis University as Division Director of General Internal Medicine.  After 2 years, I stepped into my current role as Associate Dean of Undergraduate Medical Education.

Prior to medical school,  I attended college at Yale University (1995-1999) and majored in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry.  I also played varsity baseball while at Yale.  Immediately after college, I returned home for a year spent teaching middle school science at the Epstein Academy and high school biology at Marquette High School.

New Orleans, Louisiana was my home for nearly 15 years prior to moving back to Missouri.  I completed medical school at Tulane University in 2004 and then internal medicine residency at Tulane in 2007.  After residency, I immediately joined the faculty and remained there for 8 more years. At Tulane, I served as the Director of Student Programs for the Department of Medicine and Associate Program Director for the IM Residency. My clinical responsibilities were as a hospitalist at the Medical Center of Louisiana-New Orleans.

I have been married to my wife, Ginger, for 16 years and we have 3 children, Annabelle (11 yrs), Wesley (8 yrs) and Georgia (4 yrs).
