I am from Asheville, North Carolina. I went to Medical School at UNC and residency at University of Chicago. I completed my Chief Residency at University of Chicago. I joined the faculty of UNC in 2011. I have a primary care panel and precept residents in their clinics. I am a clinician educator. My leadership roles has been in clinic and division administration
I serve as the Associate Director of the UNC Institute for Quality Improvement where I teach QI and coach large QI projects across UNC. I partner with Health Services Researchers on implementation of cancer screenings.
I was the Division Vice-Chief for education and clinical for 6 years and currently serve as the Interim Division Chief.
SGIM is very special to me and is my academic home. I was fortunately to participate in the LEAD program through ACLGIM.
I enjoy spending time with my husband Matt and two sons aged 15 and 13.. They keep me laughing and busy. I enjoy reading and running.
