I am from Asheville, North Carolina. I went to Medical School at UNC and residency at University of Chicago. I completed my Chief Residency at U of C as well and then came back to join the faculty of UNC in 2011. I lead the clinic's quality improvement activities and am currently a certified yellow belt, green belt, purple belt, and blue belt. In 2014 I became the clinic's medical director. I have been involved in many clinic and institutional initiatives. I am an active member of our Primary Care Improvement Collaborative which has led to great strives in quality work around UNC and am currently running a grant to disseminate best practices for preventive services outreach across primary care.
I enjoy spending time with my husband Matt and two young sons age 4.5 and 2. They keep me laughing and busy. We enjoy hiking, playing sports, and reading.
