Bio

Dr. Jonah Feldman is an Internal Medicine specialist with his medical practice located in central Long Island on the campus of Winthrop University Hospital. He received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Yeshiva University, where he also pursued postgraduate studies to complete a rabbinic degree from the institution’s Theological Seminary. He earned his Medical Doctorate at Stony Brook University’s School of Medicine in 2008, and completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Winthrop University Hospital. Dr. Feldman was selected to be the Chief Resident for the Department of Medicine at Winthrop, and devoted an additional year of training towards developing his leadership, teaching and administrative skills in this capacity. He currently serves at Winthrop as a Firm Chief on the Hospitals Medicine Wards, and is an Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program.

Dr. Feldman is board certified in General Internal Medicine, and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP) and member of the Association of Program Directors in Internal Medicine (APDIM). He has been appointed to serve the New York Chapter of the ACP on its Young Physicians and Health Information Technology Committees. He also participates in a NYACP Task Force on Patient Center Medical Homes and Accountable Care Organizations. Dr. Feldman has been selected as the Internal Medicine Site Director for Stony Brook University’s Advanced Clinical Experience Clerkship.

At Winthrop, Dr. Feldman has been involved in a number of important initiatives and committees where he has worked hard to promote systems-based practices that both advance patient care, and improve publicly reported outcomes. Some of these include the Clinical Documentation and Outcomes Committee, the Cardiology Quality Improvement Committee, the Hospital Wide Insulin Safety Committee, the Core Measures Assessment Committee, and the Clinical Informatics Decision Support Committee.
