I consider myself to be a General Internist first, clinician-educator second and administrator third. I continue to enjoy seeing a panel of private patients in our academic practice, and working with the residents as the ambulatory associate program director at MUSC. Our team has been evolving as a level-3 certified NCQA PCMH for a number of years, and I have been priviedged to work on this process. In 2015, I was appointed the director of our DOM's new leadership course and have learned much! Although I have been on faculty for over 20 years, I still consider myself mid-career having spent the majority of those years raising five children with my wonderful husband and colleague, Ben Clyburn. I love to cook, sing, enjoy the outdoors, and look forward to being a part of the future of Internal Medicine.
