I'm a native Floridian. Grew up in central florida amongst the orange trees. Attended the University of Florida for Undergrad where I majored in political science. Recieved my MD from the Univeristy of Florida College of Medicine. I moved north for my residency and completed my training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. I was honored to stick around another year at BIDMC and serve as the primary care chief resident. My wife and I moved back to Florida and the University of Florida to be a little closer to our roots. At UF I work with both residents and students. I serve as the assistant clerkship director for both the family medicine and ambulatory care clerkship and medicine clerkship. My academic interests are in primary care design, education, and LGBT health.
On December 19th 2014 my wife (Michelle) and I welcomed our first child, Janie, into the world. I enjoy running, hiking, biking, cooking, trying to grow my own vegetables, spending time with family.
