Bio

I am a nationally recognized academic physician educator and organizational leader with special expertise in opioid safety, chronic pain management, primary care, and general internal medicine. My leadership roles within medical professional societies along with my expertise as a medical educator, health advocate, and physician-executive has empowered me to advance patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based care throughout complex systems. My work as an expert witness has allowed me to further enhance my communication skills and appreciation for the safe, effective, and deliberate provision of the safest possible care. I am inspired by my patients, my trainees, and my talented colleagues and I am proud to serve my community as a physician leader.
