A general internist by training, I have extensive experience improving quality and safety in a complex academic medical center in the ambulatory and inpatient settings. I am most interested in executive leadership of quality and safety in a complex healthcare system.
My experience to date has included quality improvement activities in the ambulatory setting focused on access, efficiency, and care of patients with chronic conditions. On the inpatient side, my experience includes improvement of patient safety through frontline quality improvement, development of a systematic infrastructure of improvement and oversight, engagement of clinical and administrative staff, as well as employed and independent physicians. These efforts resulted in progressive systematic improvement as measured by performance on a comprehensive scorecard assessing comparative performance with other academic medical centers.
I am most interested in executive level opportunities to improve the quality and safety of a complex healthcare organization.
